PROCEDURES & GUIDANCE FOR

1. Company representatives are not allowed to request individual meetings with Government personnel associated with the RASTER acquisition. Individual Site Visits and/or Facility Tours will not be provided for representatives unable to attend the scheduled event.

2. On the Facilities Tour, company representatives must remain in authorized areas and with the Government escort at all times. Company representatives are strongly discouraged from any interaction that might impede performance by Government or contractor personnel currently working in any areas being visited.

3. Site Visit & Facilities Tour questions must be submitted on the attached questionnaire form. Submittal of questions does not guarantee a response or indicate an amendment or extension to the formal solicitation.

However, any questions deemed relevant by the Contracting Officer or Program Manager will be addressed and posted to the FedBizOpps website.

4. Government personnel are discouraged from interacting with company representatives outside of the scheduled briefings and tours. Company representatives are warned that any questions or discussions that may be considered as an attempt to gain source selection sensitive information may result in a request to leave the event proceedings.

5. Company representatives are highly encouraged to review the draft solicitation documents prior to attending the event. Since copies of the draft solicitation documents will NOT be provided at the event, it is recommended that company representatives bring hard-copies of any documents they deem relevant for the Site Visit & Facilities Tour.

6. Company representatives will be touring secured facilities. DO NOT bring any of the following: phones, cameras, recording devices, thumb drives, music players, video recorders, or any other electronic devices. If a representative should forget, the devices will be collected on the bus, held by a Government representative for safe keeping, and returned at the end of the tours for each day.

7. There will be an extensive amount of walking and exertion on the second day. It is important that all attendees be able to walk for long distances, climb stairs and ladders, breathe in a reduced oxygen environment (10,000ft elevation), and ride in a bus up a very winding road. Individual Site Visits and/or Facility Tours will not be provided for representatives who are unable to meet the above conditions.

8. All company representatives must wear long pants, t-shirts or long sleeve shirts, and enclosed shoes; style may be casual as the tour will be of a working facility. It is highly recommended that all company representatives wear sunglasses and sunscreen as the sun is much more powerful at the higher elevations. It is also recommended that all company representatives bring a long sleeve jacket (possibly a rain jacket) as the weather is subject to change and sun, clouds, rain, sleet, hail, and high winds may be experienced. Temperatures typically range between 35° - 75° F at the top of the mountain. A safety briefing will be given on the first day, and again at the top of the mountain to ensure all company representatives are aware of the necessary precautions in this unique environment.
