About this file
This is a Statement of Objectives (SOO) for the 716th Test Squadron's VKF Service Air Compressor Replacement project, dated April 2, 2026. The document outlines the scope and success criteria for replacing existing service air compressors at AEDC Building 651 (VKF) to restore service air capabilities for test support and tooling across VKF and other supported buildings and test facilities.
The minimum success criteria requires maintaining current service air requirements of 220 CFM at 115 psig with improvements to performance, reliability, and updated compressor capabilities. The expanded goal is to support increased service air production and compressor efficiency. The new compressors must be compatible with all existing system components, including the Ingersoll Rand heated blower desiccant dryer and Ingersoll Rand Intelliflow system. Each compressor will be equipped with its own electrical disconnect, and the existing foundation will be utilized for the new compressor installation. The document includes photographs of the existing compressor equipment in Building 651 and notes the location of a large roll-up door southwest of the existing service air compressors for access during installation. The Point of Contact is Jaron Northcutt at (931) 454-6557.
