About this file

This document contains an industry day question and answer session and information on a federal contract opportunity notice for the Microelectronics Innovation for Next-generation System Advancement and Validation (MINSAV) Advanced Research Announcement (ARA) with Calls.

The industry day question and answer session provides clarification that the "Microelectronics Development Marketplace" referred to in the statement of objectives is a mechanism to facilitate access to state-of-the-art microelectronics development capabilities and expertise, rather than a physical fabrication facility or cloud infrastructure. It also states that technical expertise and experience for evaluation criteria can be detailed in summary paragraphs in white papers, rather than requiring full resumes.

The federal contract opportunity notice seeks to advance the design and fabrication of commercial and government-developed sensor technologies for maturing, verifying, and delivering next-generation national defense capabilities through experimentation. It will construct prototype systems demonstrating microelectronics capabilities with technical offset for autonomous, artificial intelligence, precision navigation and timing, electronic warfare, data processing, and strategic applications. The announcement posts the basic ARA but does not require proposals at this time, instead soliciting requirements through future calls.
