About this file
This document amends an Advanced Research Announcement for the Microelectronics Innovation for Next-generation System Advancement and Validation program. The amendment allows for program security classification up to the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information level. An updated statement of objectives is included that covers Top Secret/SCI work as an extension of previously unclassified efforts. Any resulting contracts must incorporate clauses for NIST SP 800-171 DOD assessment requirements and representation regarding certain telecommunications and surveillance equipment. The underlying Advanced Research Announcement solicits proposals through calls to advance sensor microelectronics technologies for maturing and delivering next-generation defense capabilities. Experimentation will develop prototype systems demonstrating microelectronics capabilities for autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, precision timing, electronic warfare, data processing, and strategic applications. The Air Force Research Laboratory Sensors Directorate is the sponsoring agency.
