About this file
This document includes a federal solicitation for the Science and Technology for Autonomous Teammates (STAT) program. The solicitation seeks proposals to develop and demonstrate autonomy technologies that will enable various Air Force mission sets through human-machine teaming and autonomous decision-making. Key areas of interest include multi-domain command and control, manned-unmanned teaming, and information analytics. Technology demonstrations are expected to substantially improve Air Force capabilities to conduct missions while minimizing risks to personnel. Proposals should mature a set of open and reusable autonomy technologies applicable across domains that enable planning, commanding, controlling, and executing missions with manageable workloads. Chosen technologies must ingest and understand taskings, respond to direction and orders, respond intelligently to dynamic events, and be integrated into autonomous systems using specified interface designs and standards. The overall goal is to develop capabilities that allow the Air Force to operate inside adversary decision cycles.
