Descriptions of various sample integration efforts:
ARC4 HUD Tool: Taking a TRL 8 Augmented Reality viewer and integrating point/datalink capabilities from BADL into its’ current HUD Tool ATAK plugin capability and/or making BADL/HUD Tool work more seamlessly together
BADL / Fires Tool: Battlefield Airmen Data Links, DataLink Message Capability, for L-16/SADL/VMF/UHF CNR
GPS Denied Navigation: Solution utilizes Mobile Machine Learning concepts with an EUD running ATAK, to produce software that collects data and utilizes existing ATAK geospatial visualization capabilities to allow for work in offline, GPS-denied navigation environments.
WinSWAK: Enabling the capabilities that are in SWAK (through ATAK / Android platform), onto a WinTAK platform (Windows platform). The effort would include the following SWAK plugins: AO Update, Stack Tool, NET-T, Net Enabled Weapons (NEW), Dual DAR, ADS-B.
AR/Vis Aug HW: Integration of a New Digital NVG that also connects via the ATAK HUD tool to provide augmented reality.
VITO (Video Identification and Tracking of Objects) plugin: an ATAK plug-in that allows Joint Tactical Air Controllers (JTACs) the ability to track an individual they identify on Full Motion Video (FMV) by enabling them to designate targets in an unclassified environment. This frees up the JTAC to do other critical functions when they are task saturated.
M-Code capable GPS receiver: Integrate a government-approved M-code GPS receiver into SWAK.
Lightning Bolt Hand Held (LBHH): Low-Probability Intercept (LPI) / Low Probability Detect (LPD) /Low Probability Exploit (LPE) and mutable Blue Force Tracker (BFT) with Infil capability.
TacHUB + SPoX: Next Generation body work kit architecture and prototypes that combine e-textiles, more efficient power and data distribution, and size reduction of cables, where possible. Vest and Ruck prototypes are being developed, next steps include addition of the helmet to the configuration and development/integration of software within the ATAK system to manage the smart hub to include power management of all peripherals.
Gesture Control: Hand-worn system that allows the operator to interact with the EUD or Visual Augmentation display without touching the EUD or display.
sUAS Control: develop ATAK plug-in for reporting and managing a Small UAS asset used by ST operators.
