Question Set 8

Question/Answer Response:
Mobile Aisle Appendix
1.
3.2.9.1. states Each carriage shall be equipment with a mechanism which will lock the carriage in place while the operator is in the aisle. (this is the knob lock on the carriage that locks it in place so it cant be moved while someone is in the aisle)
3.2.9.2 states Carriage lock devices shall be installed on all the carriages. These devises shall be key activated and prevent a carriage from being moved while locked in place.
If a key lock is not required is 3.2.9.2 an error or is something else meant by key activated?
I apologize for the confusion. There is no requirement for key locks on the mobile aisle system and Appendix B has been revised to remove that requirement.
