About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document in response to inquiries regarding NAF Combined Synopsis/Solicitation FA8601-26-Q-0052 for Sphinx Cafe Foodservice Equipment, issued by the Department of the Air Force, Headquarters 88th Air Base Wing (AFMC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, dated 26 May 2026.
The procurement involves the procurement and installation of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) kitchen equipment identified in café drawings. A CMMC Level 1 status (not Level 2) has been determined as sufficient for this effort. The solicitation is a nonappropriated fund (NAF) effort, meaning federal acquisition regulation (FAR) rules do not apply, and there are no small business set-aside requirements. Contractors must include all items shown on the A701-702 Equipment Schedule (Items #1-75), excluding those marked as "SABER Furnished" (items #44, 47, 48, 52, 56, 57, 57.1, 57.2, 73, and 78), which are provided by a separate contract. Contractor responsibilities include labor to deliver, unpack, and set-in-place (install except for utility hookups) items marked "Gov Install," while excluding utility hookup labor for items marked "SABER Install," as the general contractor on the Sphinx Cafe renovation contract will handle those connections. Quotes must be received no later than 04 June 2026 at 2:00 PM EDT, and all work must be completed by 01 September 2026.
