About this file
This is a user guide for entering Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 1 self-assessments into the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) application, version 4.0, maintained by the Naval Submarine Lease Command (NSLC) Portsmouth at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
The guide provides step-by-step instructions for accessing and completing CMMC assessments through the SPRS Cyber Reports module. Users must first obtain a "SPRS Cyber Vendor User" role to access the PIEE portal and log into the SPRS application. After selecting the appropriate organizational hierarchy identified by a Higher-Level Organization (HLO) code, users create a new Level 1 CMMC self-assessment by entering assessment details including the assessment date, assessing scope, employee count, and confirming compliance with RFO clause 52.240-93 security requirements. The assessment must identify all included CAGE codes (imported from the System for Award Management) and designate an Affirming Official (AO) responsible for certifying organizational compliance with CMMC program requirements. If the data entry user is not the AO, the assessment can be transferred via email for affirmation. Once the AO reviews and affirms the assessment, it receives "Final Level 1 Self-Assessment" status, which is the only status type visible to government personnel. Assessments automatically expire and convert to "No CMMC Status (Expired Assessment)" after one year. Cyber Vendor Users may edit or delete assessments in certain status types prior to affirmation.
