About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers response issued by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) regarding solicitation FA8601-26-Q-0016 for OBL-WN/SCARS 4th Floor Furniture at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The contracting officer is Candice Snow, AFLCMC/PZIBA.
The solicitation covers systems furniture and related components for the 4th floor of a building currently under construction. Key requirements include: furniture from any manufacturer (not restricted to basis of design manufacturers), two knock-out voice data quad port per cubicle without faceplates (communications vendor handles faceplates), 3-inch panels (2.6-inch panels are not acceptable), and all furniture must be freestanding (wall mounting is not allowed). Specific furniture typicals (PO1C, PO2D, PO3-E, and TT-1) have defined components with multiple approved manufacturer substitutions addressing worksurface depths of 22 inches, lateral file widths of 36 inches, tackboard/markerboard configurations, and modesty panel materials. Power pole locations are specified on attached plan documents (01PLN). The installation is scheduled to begin roughly mid-September 2026, with contract award expected in FY26 prior to September 30, 2026. Delivery will be to a loading/receiving dock with access via passenger elevator; additional building information is considered CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) until contract award. No pre-award site visit will be scheduled due to ongoing construction. Contractors must supply renderings for typicals F1A, F1B, and H2. Fire extinguishers fall under a separate contract line (CTS33) and are not part of the furniture package.
