About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document issued by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) in response to inquiries regarding solicitation FA8601-26-Q-0016 for OBL-WN/SCARS 4th Floor Furniture. The document was issued on May 20, 2026, by Contracting Officer Candice Snow.

The solicitation requires systems furniture for the 4th floor, with specifications drawn generically and allowing any manufacturer—no specific basis of design is mandated despite initial reference to Haworth, Teknion, Allsteel, Miller/Knoll, and Steelcase. Communication requirements include 2 Knock-Out Voice Data Quad Port per cubicle with no faceplate supply required, as the communications vendor will provide faceplates. Power locations are specified in an attached 01PLN document that identifies power pole locations coordinated with construction plans. Panel specifications require 3-inch panels (2.6-inch panels are not acceptable), and all furniture must be freestanding per typical drawings—wall mounting is prohibited. Delivery will be to a loading/receiving dock with passenger elevator access; the distance from dock to final destination extends the length of the floor plan. Installation is scheduled to begin roughly mid-September 2026 per the construction schedule. Renderings are provided for furniture type PO2-D; contractors must supply renderings for types F1A, F1B, H, H2, and P02-D. Wood laminate specifications indicate Walnut is more than likely for applicable typicals. The intended award date is FY26 prior to September 30th. Pre-award site visits will not be scheduled as the space is currently under construction; necessary site visits will be coordinated with the successful offeror post-award.
