Text version

1. It was verbally stated during the walk-through that the new drywall is to be done in the same manner as the existing which appears not to be finished at all. In fact an exposable area does not show corner bead. Please confirm as the specifications call for a level 4 finish and two coats of primer on the drywall that will not be exposed.

Upon further discussion, it has been determined that all contractors shall follow the current Scope of Work requirements for the specific primer and wall finish listed. The primer is being utilized to minimize mold reappearing, and ensure proper surface for adhesion of acoustical panels.

2. It was verbally stated that the existing wallpaper is to have the adhesive removed for mold remediation. Please confirm.

Removal of "adhesive" is incorrect. Please refer to the Scope of Work and accompanying drawings for proper course of action in regards to the wall covering.

3. Mold remediation contractors will not guarantee that mold will not reappear. How does this affect our warranty?

Civil Engineering has prescribed a course of action, which shall be executed. As long as the Contractor adheres to those requirements and accomplishes the work accordingly, they wouldn’t be liable for any mold that reappears.
