(FORCE), 28 March 2011
Revision 1, dated 2 February 2012
Revision 1 to the Statement of Work, dated 28 March 2011, serves to clarify 3.7, Government furnished equipment (GFE), relative to transportation. The below paragraph supersedes the paragraph in the 28 March 2011 edition of the Statement of Work.
3.7 Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). The Government will furnish equipment as identified in Appendix B of the solicitation/resultant contract. The purpose of the GFE is to allow the contractor to test for compatibility between current FORCE equipment and preproduction, or first article, units. GFE will be provided within sixty days of notification to the Government that GFE is required for testing capability. The Government will be responsible for the logistics, including costs, associated with sending the GFE to the contractor’s facility; however the contractor shall be responsible for transportation logistics, including costs, for returning the GFE to the specified Government location, either MacDill AFB, FL or Holloman AFB, NM. The contractor shall be responsible for preventing damage to all GFE while being moved, handled, disassembled, inspected, reassembled, and stored while in its possession. The contractor shall be responsible for reporting losses and damage of GFE to the Government. If the contractor loses or damages the equipment, it will be the contractor’s responsibility in accordance with the contract clauses to replace or repair the equipment to the Government’s satisfaction at no additional cost to the Government. The contractor shall prepare a status report on the GFE it received no later than two weeks after completion of first article testing. (DI-MGMT-80269, Status of Government Furnished Equipment).
