SPECIAL WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS
For
UHHZ160050, RPR/RENOV INTERIOR, SHED SUP EQUIP DEP, B/673
1. GENERAL WARRANTY
General Warranty: Special warranties specified in this Article shall not deprive the Government of other rights the Government may have under other provisions of the Contract Documents and shall be in addition to, and run concurrent with, other warranties made by the Contractor under requirements of the Contract Documents.
2. SPECIAL WARRANTY
A. Metal Roof and Wall Panel Manufacturer's Material, Finish and System Weathertightness Warranties: The Contractor shall furnish, in writing, the following manufacturer's warranties to the Contracting Officer which cover all Metal Building System components:
1) A manufacturer's 20 year material warranty warranting that the specified zinc-coated steel, will not rupture, structurally fail, fracture, deteriorate, or become perforated under normal design atmospheric conditions and service design loads. Specifics are listed within the specifications.
2) A manufacturer's 20 year exterior material finish warranty on the factory colored finish warranting that the finish, under normal atmospheric conditions at the site, will not crack, peel, delaminate, or chalk. Specifics are listed within the specifications.
3) A roofing system manufacturer's 20 year NDL (No Dollar Limit) non-prorated, system weather tightness warranty. Exclusion during installer’s warranty period will not be allowed. Specifics are listed within the specifications.
4) Installer’s 2 year warranty covering installation and workmanship.
3) All components shall be from one manufacturer (single source). Therefore, all warranties with the exception of the installer’s warranty shall be single source from the manufacturer. Manufacturer’s warranty shall not have an exclusion during the installer’s warranty.
