About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation FA706025Q0014, addressing contractor questions about an electronic door lock and access control system installation at three dormitory buildings (55, 72, and 3619) at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling Air Force - District Washington.

Key clarifications include that existing maglocks will not be replaced but will be utilized by new lock systems, vendors must include disposal of removed equipment, and the Government will provide staging areas within each building. The system must be standalone with handheld programming devices and off-line software eliminating network connectivity requirements. Only four exterior doors on Building 55's main structure require replacement (mechanical room doors removed from scope), while dormitory room common areas in Building 55 need multiple resident access but individual rooms require singular access. The solicitation due date was extended to August 15, 2025, with training required for 4 personnel (3 Dorm Leaders and 1 UH Manager). Each building will operate independently with its own client system, requiring a complete solution including PCs. Recommended finish for lever sets is Satin Nickel, Satin Chrome, or similar. The document includes building floor plans and photographs showing current door configurations and exit locations for all three buildings, with exterior doors marked as "Exit" on the plans.
