About this file

This is a Supplemental Questions and Answers document that addresses discrepancies between revised solicitation drawings and the Statement of Work for mobile track storage systems required by the 910 OSS Aircrew Flight Equipment (AFE) Section. The document clarifies specifications for two systems (AFE1 and AFE2) to be installed in Buildings 407 and 413 at an Air Force facility.

Key clarifications provided include: for AFE1, the SOW requirement of three mobile carriages and one fixed carriage takes precedence over the revised drawing showing four mobile carriages; for AFE2, the SOW requirement of four mobile and one fixed carriage supersedes the revised drawing showing five mobile carriages. Regarding carriage dimensions, each carriage is 48 inches wide with 24-inch depth shelving on each side, and existing 42-inch wide shelving will be acceptable. For shelf configurations, both AFE1 and AFE2 units will have fixed top and bottom shelves with adjustable shelves in between, with AFE1 hinged door units containing four adjustable shelves (six total) and interior units containing three adjustable shelves (five total), while AFE2 hinged door units will have four adjustable shelves (six total) and interior units will have two adjustable shelves (four total). The document also references attached drawings of existing systems to be removed and establishes that any remaining discrepancies between the SOW and drawings defer to the SOW, with no additional Q&A to be provided.

Revised drawing for system AFE 2 shows (4) shelving units at 48”W with a carriage length from the wall of 16’2”, SOW does not state length of carriage, but Q & A’s state carriage length is 14’4”, which would require the shelving units to be 42”W, not 48”W – please clarify I believe each carriage is 48” with 24”D shelving on each side, the 42”W shelving is what currently exists and will be acceptable
