Title: HQ AFRC/A6, Industry Day (Virtual) for Enterprise IT Services Requirements
1. HQ AFRC/A6, along with the HQ AFRC/PK acquisition team, will conduct a virtual
Industry Day via Zoom on 25-27 August 2021 from 0900-1700 EST in support of the
AFRC Enterprise IT Services contract. The purpose of this event is to conduct dialogue with IT industry leaders to obtain industry viewpoint and recommendations regarding new innovations and technological advancements in IT products and services that may impact the approach to the HQ AFRC/A6 Enterprise IT Services Contract. The outcome of this Industry Day is expected to assist HQ AFRC/A6 with incorporating future needs into the labor strategy and new PWS for IT support functions covered under the
Enterprise IT Contract.
2. Requirement Background: The current AFRC Enterprise IT Contract covers IT services such as help desk, infrastructure, cyber security, enterprise architecture, and IT program management that support the AFRC IT environment for approximately 70K AFRC personnel. This service contact ends on 28 September 2022 and as AFRC prepares to re-compete this contract, there is interest in understanding IT advances and innovations that could result in more cost effective or efficient services so these can be incorporated into the new contract as appropriate. While innovations related to any area of the Enterprise
IT Contract are of interest, there is special interest in the areas of end user computer experience, mission critical mobile communications, and mobile access to secure capabilities. The attached SOO describes the current state and AFRC objectives to help interested parties frame their feedback for this Industry Day.
3. On the morning of the first day of the Industry Day, a group session will be held in which informational briefings will be conducted to afford interested parties the opportunity to hear HQ AFRC/A6 personnel provide an overview of the anticipated requirement and the current state of areas of specific interest for innovation input (i.e., end user experience, LMR capabilities, and secure communication capabilities). Following the group session, individual break-out sessions, also via Zoom, will be scheduled so interested parties can meet privately with AFRC personnel to discuss new innovation for future requirements.
These break-out sessions are tentatively planned for 20 minutes (note: the government reserves the right to change the duration before the event begins), during which interested parties may present recommendations related to the areas of interest and AFRC personnel may ask questions about responses to the Industry Day questionnaire. These sessions are not intended to be a general company overview, but should focus on recommendations in the areas of interest. The schedule for these break-out sessions will begin on Day 1 and may extend though Days 2 and 3 (depending on number of interested parties). A tentative agenda is attached to this notice; the Government reserves the right to adjust the agenda as necessary based upon the number of registrants. Zoom meeting instructions and a specific time slot for each interested party will be provided after registration, closer to Industry Day. To facilitate the meeting process, interested parties will be limited to no more than 4 Zoom connections and will need to identify in advance the names and phone numbers that are expected to connect. (Note: While more than 4 individuals are welcome to participate from a company, they must consolidate in order to utilize no more than 4
Zoom connections).
4. In order to attend the Industry Day, the following forms are required from each interested party:
a. Company Registration Form
b. Individual Registration Form
c. Industry Day Questionnaire
d. Consent to Record Form
The required information has to be submitted via email NLT 5:00 p.m. EST on 18 Aug
21 to danisa.wright@us.af.mil. Following registration, you will receive an email confirmation with specific information about the virtual Industry Day.
5. Draft Statement of Objectives (SOO), and accompanying presentation, and the Industry
Day Questionnaire are attached to the notice.
6. We appreciate your interest and thank you in advance for participating in the Industry
Day. NOTE: Information provided during the Industry Day will not qualify the terms and conditions of any resulting Request for Proposal (RFP).
