MEMORANDUM FOR RFQ INTERESTED PARTIES
FROM 18 CONS/PKB
SUBJECT: Receipt of Question(s) from Vendor Regarding RFQ FA527024QB007, Access Control System
The following are questions submitted by a vendor on 30 May 24 - 3 Jun 24 for the subject requirement.
The Government’s responses are recorded in blue:
1. Please share the exact system name and model of existing (DAQ) to confirm compatibility. DAQ
ENS-PANL-211
Starwatch SMS 5.5.594
2. Do you have the BQ? I see all listed as one set only.
Please elaborate on what is a “BQ”.
3. Also, do you know what the timeline is we are expecting from this?
Refer to question no. 6 below.
4. Is there any security clearance required for the installers at the site?
Please reference SOW, para. 1.3.9.
5. I can certainly assist with this project. Are you looking for a [REDACTED] quote?
This combo synopsis/solicitation is open to all interested parties who believe they can meet the technical and security requirements stated in this RFQ and its attachments. Quotes must deemed technically capability; technical capability will be determined on system compatibility with current DAQ system/products.
6. The Period of Performance is currently 30 days. Would the Government consider extending the POP to six (6) months? This will allow the contractor to provide the Government with a reasonable schedule for delivery of materials.
“30 Days” is a generic language; the vendor is responsible for providing a projected lead time as part of their quote. Period of performance 6 months should suffice, but the Government request that performance be completed as soon as possible.
7. DOD 8570 is a network security requirement applicable to cybersecurity and network security.
Does the Government intend for ACS installation technicians to meet this requirement or only those performing cybersecurity functions under this contract?
1 SFC is coordinating with the S6 folks to verify applicability; a response will be provided as soon as an answer is available.
8. Will the Customer provide escort(s) for staff and/or subcontractors that do not have clearances?
Yes, the customer will provide escorts for those unable to meet the security and clearance requirements stated in the SOW and are performing support functions only.
