About this file

This document is a set of Questions and Answers (Q&A) for an Access Control and Security Badge System project at AAFB Medical Clinic. The Q&A covers detailed technical specifications for upgrading access control systems across multiple buildings (26001, 26012, and 26009), including requirements for door hardware, cable routing, panel compatibility, and installation details. Key points include using AMAG panels compatible with the existing Symmetry system, installing classroom-style locks, routing cables through existing drop ceiling infrastructure, and utilizing specific communication rooms for panel installation.

The project involves upgrading access control systems with specific requirements such as adding door contacts, exit buttons for new doors, and ensuring all new equipment is compatible with the existing infrastructure. The government will work with the contractor to provide necessary power for access control panels, and the contractor must have a factory-certified technician authorized to work on the Symmetry System. The project has a submission deadline of September 11, with work to be performed after-hours and subject to site point of contact approval.
