About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) Questions and Answers for a federal contract opportunity (Solicitation Number FA524025QM133) issued by the Department of the Air Force Headquarters 36th Wing at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The solicitation is for two scoreboards - one for a football/soccer field and another for a softball field. The RFI addresses seven key questions from potential vendors, including specifics about scoreboard placement, field usage, NAICS code clarification, and control room details.
The key responses indicate that: (1) a football scoreboard will be used for a multi-purpose field supporting both American football and soccer, (2) refurbishment of existing equipment is not an option and vendors must follow the Statement of Work, (3) the correct NAICS code is 339950 (Sign Manufacturing), and (4) pictures of the softball scoreboard control room are available in Attachment 5. The opportunity is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside with a response deadline of 14 July 2025 at 1000 Chamorro Standard Time, involving scoreboards to be installed at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.

SUBJECT: RFI Questions and Answers– FA524025QM133 – 36 FSS Football Scoreboard & Softball Scoreboard
1. If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?
a. We are not aware of the current / previous contract number.
2. What is the distance between the scoreboard and the control room?
a. The scoreboard is approximately 100-110 meters from the control room.
3. CLIN 0001 specifies a football scoreboard, however, this space is currently a soccer field.
Should a soccer scoreboard be provided or will the field be converted to an American football style field?
a. Both American Football and Soccer are played on this field, the scoreboard can remain as stated previously (Football Scoreboard).
4. The existing soccer field score board measures 31x10, has a date stamp of 2018. Would the government consider a refurbishment of this board which would replace all the displays and internal electronics to provide a fully functional system and restore the existing scoreboard?
a. Refurbishment will not be an option. Please follow the Statement of Work.
5. Regarding the Softball field scoreboard, the current cage in front of the scoreboard is 14’ in width. Since a 20’wide scoreboard would protrude past the cage and possibly be impacted by fly-balls, would the government prefer that either the existing cage be widened or that the width of the screen be shortened to around a 15’x6’6” or smaller size to fit behind the existing cage?
a. Please view the updated Statement of Work.
6. The SAM.gov entry for this opportunity lists two different NAICS codes—339950 (sign manufacturing) in the Classification section, and 333517 (Machine Tool Manufacturing) in the Description section. Did you intend to list both, or should the second one also be 339950?
a. The correct NAICS code is 33950 – Sign Manufacturing
7. Can you please provide some pictures for the control room?
a. Please see Attachment 5 for pictures of the Softball Scoreboard control room.
