About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details a communication vault upgrade project at Yokota Air Base, Japan for Building 650, scheduled for completion within 12 months after contract award. The project requires comprehensive electrical, infrastructure, and communication system upgrades, including removing existing equipment and installing new components such as 14 communication racks, two 100KVA UPS systems, two 20T CRAC units, raised flooring, electrical cabling, fiber optic distribution cables, and associated infrastructure elements.
Key technical requirements include installing a 10-12" raised floor with specific ventilation and drainage specifications, grounding communication racks according to TIA607-D standards, implementing environmental monitoring systems, and ensuring all materials are Trade Agreement Act compliant. The contractor must have at least three years of experience in construction and network cabling installation, provide a two-year warranty, and coordinate closely with the Site Point of Contact (374 CS/SCXP 225-9690) throughout the project. All work will be performed in Building 650, with a critical note to treat all baseboards, floor tiles, ceiling tiles, and cement as potentially containing asbestos.
