About this file
This document is a Question & Answer (Q&A) document for Solicitation No. FA520925Q0056 for an Avigilon Surveillance System at Yokota Air Base, Japan. The Q&A covers critical technical and deployment details, including that the surveillance system will be a stand-alone network using existing fiber optic cabling to connect cameras back to Building 210. Key specifications include continuous recording with a 30-day retention period, cameras positioned to provide the best mission-critical footage quality, and no pre-existing Avigilon cameras at the site.
The solicitation is restricted to local sources under FAR 5.202(a)(12), meaning only local contractors can bid on this Defense agency contract performed outside the United States. Additional notable details include that the US Air Force will not provide a donor radio, does not have all required Motorola radio integration licensing, and will not issue SOFA (Status of Forces Agreement) status to the awarded contractor. The document indicates camera installation locations will be detailed in attached slides not included in this Q&A document.
