1 RFP Current proposal due date is 22Jun23. Given the magnitude of this requirement, coupled with the simultaneous postings of multiple other solicitations by various agencies, can government consider extending the proposal due date to 20Jul23?

The soliciation closing date/time will be extended to 6 Jul 23/1000 hours (JST) due to Addendum No. 1.

2 List of Contractor

Furnished U.S.

Material (CFUSM)

The UL listed materials in the project specification and the list of contractor furnished U.S.

materials didn't match. As per the project specification, some HVAC equipment (e.g., fan coil units, heat pumps, range hood, and electric wall heaters) is UL listed, but these were not included in the list of contractor furnished U.S. materials. Confirm if these are UL listed. If yes, it would be difficult to find UL listed equipment with a 50 Hz frequency requirement because standard US equipment is 60 Hz. Confirm whether the UL listed equipment can be replaced with locally available equipment that meets the system criteria. If the UL listed equipment can't be replaced with local equipment, advise if derated US listed 60 Hz equipment can be used. Confirm whether this is acceptable.

UL listed equipmet can be replaced with locally available equipment that meets the system criteria. Specification Section 01 00 00, Para 1.4 states: "The

Contractor shall refer the latest version of the designated or relative publications in these specifications. Where materials or equipment are specified to conform to U.S. Standards from organizations such as the

American National Standards Institute (ANSI), American Society for Testing

Materials (ASTM), National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), Underwriters Laboratory Inc. (UL) or other U.S. standards and organizations, material or equipment that meets an equivalent Japanese Industrial Standard

(JIS) may be substituted. Documentary evidence thereof shall be furnished to the Contracting Officer for approval."

Other than items on the list of CFUSM, UL listed equipment can be replaced with locally available equipment.

3 Specifications Section 22 00 00, Page 23 As per Table II (piping and fitting materials for pressure piping systems), it was specified that the materials to be used for the water service are all American Standard. Confirm whether

Japanese standard piping materials can be used as a substitute. If so, provide information on the alternative materials that may be used.

Japanese standard piping materails can be used as a substitute. Specification

Section 01 00 00, Para 1.4 states: "The Contractor shall refer the latest version of the designated or relative publications in these specifications. Where materials or equipment are specified to conform to U.S. Standards from organizations such as the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM), National Electrical

Manufacturers Association (NEMA), Underwriters Laboratory Inc. (UL) or other

U.S. standards and organizations, material or equipment that meets an equivalent Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) may be substituted.

Documentary evidence thereof shall be furnished to the Contracting Officer for approval."
