12 May 2024

1. Can the panel closest to the edge of the roof have gasketed screws installed to help hold the metal down in the wind? Answer: I spoke with the Work Leader in the Structures Shop, Securing the edge panel down with gasketed screws into the purlins is acceptable.

2. It will take me to schedule the crew and machinery, will the base allow for this? Documents say that that 10 days aer signing the contract the work must begin.

Answer: The mobilizaon of crew and movement of machinery is considered work, just be mindful of the amount of me this takes as the agreed upon period of performance is 30 days.

Furthermore, in the event submitals are required geng submitals approved would also be considered work.

3. Would non-expansive foam be allowed to be injected under the edge trim to prevent wind from infiltrang under the roof panels? Answer: We don’t know of any spray foam that does not expand. Not acceptable.

4. Can the exisng panels be reused/re-seamed? Answer: Yes, the panels can be reused/re-seamed one me. The seams need to be folded over properly when re-seamed for solid integrity. Using the correct seamer is crical.
