About this file

This document is a Solicitation Questions document (Revision 0001) for a Grounds Maintenance contract, primarily addressing discrepancies in quantity measurements across various contract line items (CLINs) for ground maintenance services. The solicitation covers multiple service areas including improved grounds (turf and non-turf), leaf/pod removal, artificial turf maintenance, semi-improved grounds, police grounds debris removal, and irrigation system maintenance. Key clarifications include contractor responsibilities for manual watering (at Bama Park, Building 2300, and Contracting Office Building), irrigation system parts replacement, pesticide/herbicide storage and usage, and turf restoration.

The document also addresses procedural aspects such as special event services (to be priced separately), mowing schedules (Monday through Wednesday), and grass height maintenance requirements, particularly in Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) areas. Notably, past performance is not a factor in this contract, and contractors are advised to refer to the Total Evaluated Price Matrix for precise quantities. The solicitation indicates a site visit was scheduled for 02-OCT, and contractors are responsible for providing their own equipment like chippers. Specific requirements for herbicide and insecticide treatments are to be approved by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and must comply with Department of Defense and Air Force pest management guidelines.
