2. The renovation of Building 703 will create an Open Secure Storage Area

(OSSA) in the East side of the existing building & extend to an area adjacent to the building, on the North (flight line) side. Construction will include renovating the existing structure of designated rooms to meet OSSA requirements; enclosing open areas between the 2 sides of the existing bldg to create new server room and operating locations, renovating an existing room

(Rm106) and constructing a secure compound for Ground Control Station (GCS) operations. Power and HVAC systems will be installed to operate and cool new servers, room additions, and operating systems within required standards.

Install a back-up generator, connect all comm and electrical systems in room additions, ops floor Room 106, GCS Compound, and UNCLASS comm room to generator via auto-transfer switch. Security systems will be installed to provide

24X7 IDS and Access Control coverage. Additional comm connectivity will be installed from another building (B707) thru this renovation area to an unclass room (Rm115) in B703. A radio antenna will be installed as a roof mount.

Communications conduit, cable ladders/trays, wiring, cabinets, NEMA

Enclosures, patch panels, wire management devices, and associated hardware are required to meet the OSSA standards and the OPS requirements for the 2 new office/server areas, Room 106, & the new GCS compound.

7.8.2 (U) Expose RED Signal Lines.

7.8.3 (U) In controlled access areas that are not controlled 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (24/7), expose all RED signal lines to viewing. This applies to both wire and fiber optic RED signal lines. Exposing means do not hide RED signal lines above false ceilings, below raised flooring, or behind a cover attached to a wall. Conduit (electrical metallic tubing [EMT]), Panduit, or other distribution facilities may be used to protect the signal lines from damage or to achieve neatness and orderliness as long as they are exposed to viewing and begin and end within the same controlled access area. RED signal lines may be run above a false ceiling or below a raised floor provided the hidden area they traverse is alarmed or the signal lines are run in conduit with the conduit ends exposed below the false ceiling or above the raised floor. Spot-weld or epoxy all joints of the conduit. Check

RED signal lines that are run above a false ceiling or below a raised floor for tampering twice a year or whenever un-cleared personnel have had access to them (housekeeping, painting, civil engineering [CE] work, etc.).

Routing will be via grounded cable trays, conduit, or surface mount Panduit in accordance with security standards. Wall penetrations will be thru lockable/alarmed

NEMA cabinets of sufficient depth to allow visual inspection of cabling from one room thru wall space into opposing room. UNCLASSIFIED and

CLASSIFIED wiring will remain 2” apart along the entire route from data patch panel locations and outlet boxes, thru cable trays, and all other floor/ceiling penetrations. CLASSIFIED and UNCLASSIFIED wiring will enter/exit thru separate NEMA boxes as depicted in Diagram 1

15.2 Both room additions will have a TMGB ground plate installed, connected to facility ground and meet less than 10 ohms resistance

15.3 All contractor installed cabinets will be secured to the flooring in accordance with earthquake safety standards. Each data cabinet will have 2 dedicated L5-30 125VAC and 2 dedicated L6-30 250VAC, mounted under raised floor. Patch panels for Fiber and CAT6 S/STP will be installed to meet connectivity requirements and wire (S/STP) grounding; patch panels and premise wiring will be installed in a common data/voice configuration

15.4 Do not install cabinets in a corner; provide 36” maintenance space on all sides unless one side can be against a wall, allowing maintenance access to front, back and one side

15.5 Coordinate with customer & 99 CS/OL-A PM for rack elevation drawings.

15.6 All outlet boxes must be metal with multiple 1” knockouts and must be of sufficient depth to provide bend radius space for the CAT6

S/STP and FO wiring.

15.10 Outlet boxes installed under raised floor space, and associated wiring, will not require Panduit, since the space traversed by the classified wiring will be alarmed. Wiring under the raised floor (alarmed space) will require cable trays to traverse the area. All comm wiring under raised floor space will be easily inspected.

15.11 The existing conduit is in the network room #143 which is in the center of Bldg 707 across the hallway from the two GCS trainer rooms that will be renovated. The other end of the communication conduit enter the Bldg 703 in the communication room of next to the mechanical room of 703 flight line side of the facility.
