About this file

This document is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act, issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration for New Mexico counties (Curry, Lea, Quay, Roosevelt, and Union) as of August 22, 2026.

The wage determination establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits for numerous service contract occupations across multiple job categories including administrative support, clerical, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance, general services, health occupations, information and arts, information technology, instructional, laundry and dry-cleaning, machine tool operation, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant and system operations, protective service, recreation, stevedoring, and technical occupations. Rates vary by occupation and level, ranging from $11.57 to $48.83 per hour. The document requires all employees to receive fringe benefits of $5.92 per hour (up to 40 hours per week) or $236.80 weekly, with alternative rates specified under Executive Orders 13706 and 13658 for contractors subject to paid sick leave requirements. Vacation is provided as two weeks after one year of service, three weeks after five years, and four weeks after 15 years. Employees receive a minimum of eleven paid holidays annually. Special provisions apply to computer employees (with exemptions for certain classifications), air traffic controllers and weather observers (with night pay and Sunday differentials), and positions involving hazardous materials (with 4-8 percent hazard pay differentials). The determination requires contractors to furnish adequate uniforms without cost or reimburse actual costs, with specific cleaning allowances when employees maintain uniforms. Classifications not listed in the wage determination require conformance requests submitted through a formal process outlined in 29 CFR 4.6(b)(2)(i).
