Questions & Responses #4

Question 13) This is in reference to the sample project. Sheet C-2 shows the phase 1 limits of demolition to extend approx. 97’ from building 4735. To follow the slab replacement plan on sheet C-3 you would either have to: (A) Stop short of limits with concrete and leave gap to pick up in next phase or (B) Extend phase 1 limits and essentially cut through the middle of an existing slab to allow for the proper measurements on the proposed slab replacement plan. Each option would severely impact access to the hangar during phase transitions. Due to irregular slabs being removed and uniform slabs being replaced, the proposed phase limits will not work.
Is this correct or is this an error?
Answer: An amendment is forthcoming which eliminates the requirement for completing the project in two phases. Maintaining access to the hangar is not required. All demolition can be completed at the same time.
