About this file

This is an email correspondence regarding modifications to slide gates at McConnell Air Force Base. Sammy Cooper, National Sales Representative for Stephens Pipe & Steel, responds to Adrian Arzate, a contracting officer with the U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command (AMC) at McConnell AFB, regarding technical specifications for gate modifications.

The email addresses two proposed modifications to Stephens Pipe & Steel slide gates: (1) adding a 2-inch square tubing piece, which Cooper confirms will not affect gate function and will not void the warranty, and (2) adding and tightening cables on the gate, which Cooper warns could potentially cause gate failure and may void the warranty. The communication follows a prior phone discussion between the parties and includes contact information for Cooper at Stephens Pipe & Steel (office: 800-451-2612; cell: 270-585-1135).

You don't often get email from sammycooper@spsfence.com. Learn why this is important

Adrian, Per our phone discussion, adding a piece of 2" square tubing to our slide gates has no effect on the function and should not void the warranty however; adding and tightening cables on the gate could possibly cause the gate to fail and may void the warranty in that regard.

Good luck sir!
