The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision to remove and replace the existing gate system. Specific deliverables include: removal and disposal of the existing gate with fabrication and installation of a new powder-coated aluminum gate matching exact material and design specifications (detailed in Attachment 1); furnishing and installing all new heavy-duty gate hardware including rollers, guides, and stops; integrating the new gate with the existing gate operator, which shall remain in place; removing and replacing the existing slide gate rail with a new rail fully compatible with the existing operator; and furnishing and installing one additional set of UL325 Thru Beam Photoeyes from EMX Industries, Inc., or an approved equivalent, positioned approximately 24 inches above existing photo-eyes and integrated with the existing gate operator. The contractor shall protect existing gate posts from damage throughout all work phases. A minimum one-year warranty covering all materials, equipment, and workmanship shall commence upon final inspection and formal written Government acceptance. The contractor must complete full installation and ensure the gate is operational no later than 90 calendar days after receipt of the order.

Statement of Need
POL Gate Facility# 53082 Replacement
McConnell AFB, Kansas
1. Overview
1.1 To maintain operational security and safety, the 22nd Civil Engineer Squadron requires the replacement of the inbound gate at the Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants (POL) compound leading to the flightline.
2. Description
2.1 General Requirement: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision necessary to remove and replace the existing gate. The new gate system shall be fully integrated with the existing posts and gate operator.
2.2 Specific Tasks: The Contractor shall perform the following tasks:
2.2.1 Gate Posts: Existing gate posts shall be used for the installation of the new gate. The Contractor shall protect the posts from damage during all phases of work.
2.2.2 Gate Removal and Replacement: The existing gate shall be removed and disposed of by the Contractor. A new gate shall be fabricated and installed to the exact material and design specifications of the gate being replaced (powder-coated aluminum). Detailed gate dimensions and design specifications are provided in Attachment 1.
2.2.3 Gate Hardware: Furnish and install all new, heavy-duty gate hardware, including but not limited to rollers, guides, and stops, required for proper operation.
2.2.4 Gate Operator Integration: The existing gate operator shall remain. The Contractor shall integrate it with the new gate, rail, and safety systems to ensure full functionality.
2.2.5 Slide Gate Rail: Remove the existing gate operator rail and replace it with a new rail fully compatible with the existing operator.
2.2.6 Additional Safety: Furnish and install one additional set of photo-eyes. The systema shall be the UL325 Thru Beam Photoeye from EMX Industries, Inc., or an approved equal that is fully compatible with the existing gate operator. The new photo-eyes shall be installed across the opening approximately 24 inches above others, integrated with the existing gate operator.
3. Warranty
3.1 The Contractor shall provide a minimum one-year warranty on all materials, equipment, and workmanship. The warranty period shall commence upon final inspection and formal written acceptance by the Government. The warranty shall cover the complete and proper operation of all components, including the new gate, hardware, operator rail, and integrated photo-eye system
4. Delivery
4.1 The contractor shall complete the full installation and ensure the gate is operational no later than 90 calendar days after the receipt of the order.
