About this file
This document is the Salient Characteristics for Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) required by the 92nd Communications Squadron at Fairchild Air Force Base. It specifies the technical requirements for two sizes of UPS systems - a 5kVA UPS and a 1.5kVA UPS - as well as compatible external battery packs and network management cards. Key details include:
The 5kVA UPS must have 208V AC input, 208V AC 60Hz output, at least 2 NEMA L6-30 output receptacles, a maximum depth of 29 inches, a maximum rack height of 7U, and a minimum runtime of 10 minutes on battery at full load without external batteries. It must be rack mountable, have hot-swappable and replaceable batteries, and be capable of external battery connection. The UPS and external batteries must be TAA compliant.
The 1.5kVA UPS must have 120V AC 60Hz input and output, at least 6 NEMA 5-15 output receptacles, a maximum depth of 29 inches, a maximum rack height of 4U, and a minimum runtime of 6.5 minutes on battery at full load. It must be rack mountable, have replaceable batteries, and be TAA compliant. A TAA compliant network management card is required if the UPS model does not have one pre-installed.
These salient characteristics are referenced in Solicitation Number FA462024QA221 for Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) systems and accessories issued by the 92nd Communications Squadron of the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command.
