Fairchild AFB Joint Critical Information List (Basic)

November 2013

1. BASIC LIST. Listed below is the basic Fairchild AFB Joint Critical Information List (CIL) that includes indicators of sensitive operations. These general categories are designed to identify our most sensitive activities and attendant information to prevent disclosure to adversaries.

Adversaries will use any disclosure to target missions, weapons systems, critical infrastructure or personnel for destruction or compromise. Do not discuss or transmit details of the following categories in non-secure areas or via non-secure means. Do not disclose them to personnel who do not possess a need-to-know. Prior to any public release (articles, social media, web sites, blogs, etc.), FAFB personnel and supporting contractor personnel will consult Public Affairs, unit or wing OPSEC specialists to ensure OPSEC compliance.

2. FAFB Critical Information

- Current and future operations / exercises

- Vulnerabilities, degradation /outages of critical infrastructures or telecommunications

- Key personnel/VIP schedules and travel itineraries

- Personnel, acquisition and logistics information

- Emergency response or contingency plans

- Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Information

- Changes to, or details of, normal operating procedures

3. FAFB OPSEC Indicators

- Unit recall

- Unplanned Strike Meetings

- Unplanned Mobility Processing

- Unusual Requests for area of responsibility (AOR) Site Information

- Abnormal Changes of Duty Schedules

- Increased Transport Activity

- Increased Security

- Unusual Working Hours

- Unusual Increase in Aircraft Maintenance or Servicing
