Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA Aerobics Instruction / HIIT Workout

Q & A

1. Q: Is there an incumbent? If so, what is the solicitation or contract number?

A: The incumbent is UNICO GOVERNMENT SOLUTIONS, LLC, Contract Number: FA461020P0060, total value: $147,920.00

2. Q: Can the contract manager meet virtually or by phone instead of in person?

A: Yes, the contract manager can meet virtually or by phone, if unavailable to meet in person.

3. Q: PWS 1.2.2.2 Does the contractor decide which classes are offered and when they are offered?

A: The Performance Work Statement lists some classes that can be offered, but it does not limit the contractor to just the classes listed. The times of the classes offered will be determined by the availability of the instructors. We aim to have classes offered throughout the day and we prefer the contractor to provide a minimum of 15 classes per week.

4. Q: PWS 4.1 Can the instructors’ phone link to the speakers via Bluetooth?

A: Yes, the instructors can phone link to the speakers via Bluetooth.

5. Q: PWS 4.6.1. May the contractor invoice for the training time?

A: Yes, the contractor will utilize WAWF to invoice monthly.

6. Q: Number of Classes Per Day: The PWS specifies approximately 25 classes per week. Could you please confirm how these classes are typically distributed across the week, and if there is an expected number of classes per day?

A: The group fitness contractor currently offers the following schedule:

• Monday – 3 classes

• Tuesday – 3 classes

• Wednesday – 4 classes

• Thursday – 2 classes

• Saturday – 1 class

7. Q: Average Number of Attendees Per Class: To accurately plan instructor capacity and class structure, could you provide the average attendance per class based on recent historical data?

A: If they are able to offer 5 classes per day, Monday through Friday, that would be ideal. It would also simplify tracking the total number of classes offered each week.

Average Attendance per Class Type:

• Power Cycle – 4 patrons

• Cardio Strength – 7 patrons

• Bootcamp – 4 patrons

• Yoga – 6 patrons

• Ab Attack – 3 patrons

• Cycle 45 – 6 patrons

8. Q: How long is each Aerobics and HIIT class?

A: Some of the current group fitness classes are 45 minutes long, while others last an hour. The monthly HIIT class is one hour long.

Q & A

9. Q: What is the SLD 30 Delta Dash?

A: “SLD” acronym stands for Space Launch Delta. “30” is the number of the command. Delta Dash is the name of the fitness event held each month.

10. Q: Regarding HIIT Workout - Supply a certified instructor capable of teaching a monthly HIIT workout for the SLD 30 Delta Dash. Are the SLD 30 Delta Dash classes part of the 25 classes under 4.2.1?

A: Yes, the monthly Team V Delta Dash HIIT workout will count toward the 25-class requirement.

11. Q: Will the classes be structured based on skill level (i.e., beginner, intermediate, advanced), or are all participants expected to perform at the same level?

A: The classes will follow a stricter base structure; however, instructors should be able to provide modified workouts for patrons who need them.

12. Q: Are there any specific physical improvement goals outlined for these classes? For instance, faster 1-mile run times, improved muscle mass, lower body fat, or increased VO2 max?

A: Not for this requirement. The only classes that require improvement goals are sessions specifically designed for individuals who do not meet Air Force fitness, strength, or weight/body fat standards.

13. Q: The PWS describes the quantity of classes per week in two locations, differently: As “a minimum of 15 classes per week”, and as “approximately 25 classes per week”. Which quantity should be used?

A: It is acceptable to quote the minimum quantity of classes per week.

14. Q: Where is the HIIT Class taught?

A: The HIIT class takes place at the Pacific Coast Club rear parking lot during the winter months and the 11777 Parade Ground during the warmer months.

15. Q: How many instructors are required to teach the HIIT class?

A: We only require one instructor to lead the HIIT workout.

16. Q: How many participants are in the HIIT class?

A: Attendance typically ranges from 50 to 100 participants.
