About this file

This is an Operations Security (OPSEC) Awareness Guide for contractors working at Dover Air Force Base that outlines information security countermeasures across six key areas. The guide provides detailed protocols for protecting sensitive information related to the base's operations.

The document specifies requirements for handling Personal Identifiable Information (PII), mission capabilities, force readiness, force structure, exercises/plans, and physical infrastructure. Key security measures include: implementing 100% shred policies, using Privacy Act coversheets, encrypting emails containing sensitive information, password-protecting documents when encryption isn't available, restricting access to authorized personnel with need-to-know, avoiding social media posts about contract work or on-base events, and reporting suspicious behavior immediately. The guide is particularly relevant to the Dover AFB airfield striping contract as contractors will be working on sensitive airfield infrastructure and must follow these OPSEC protocols while performing their duties.
