REPLACE BROKEN STORM DRAIN PIPE

BLDG 764 PARKING LOT

SECTION 01300

SUBMITTALS

PART 1 GENERAL

1.1 SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES

A. Coordinate submittal preparation with construction, fabrication, other submittals, and activities that require sequential operations. Transmit in advance of construction operations to avoid delay.

1. Coordinate submittals for related operations to avoid delay because of the need to review submittals concurrently for coordination. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to withhold action on a submittal requiring coordination until related submittals are received.

2. Processing: Allow 3 working days for initial review. Allow more time if the Contracting Officer must delay processing to permit coordination. Allow 3 additional days for reprocessing.

a. No extension of Contract Time will be authorized because of failure to transmit submittals sufficiently in advance of the work to permit processing.

3. Submittal: Transmit items as listed on the Schedule of Submittals utilizing AF

IMT 3000 as directed by the Contracting Officer.

B. Contractor's Construction Schedule: (Not Applicable)

C. Shop Drawings: (Not Applicable)

D. Product Data: Collect Product Data into a single submittal for each element of construction. Mark each copy to show applicable choices and options. Where Product Data includes information on several products, mark copies to indicate applicable information.

1. Include the following information:

a. Manufacturer's printed recommendations.

b. Compliance with trade association standards.

c. Compliance with recognized testing agency standards.

d. Application of testing agency labels and seals.

e. Notation of dimensions.

f. Notation of coordination requirements.

E. Samples: Submit full-size samples cured and finished as specified and identical with the material proposed.

1. Include the following:

a. Specification Section number and reference.

b. Generic description of the Sample.

c. Sample source.

d. Product name or name of the manufacturer.

e. Compliance with recognized standards.

F. Quality Assurance Submittals: Submit quality-control submittals, including design data, certifications, manufacturer's instructions, and manufacturer's field reports required under other Sections of the Specifications.

1. Certifications: Where certification that a product or installation complies with specified requirements is required, submit a notarized certification from the manufacturer certifying compliance.

G. Contracting Officer's Action: Except for submittals for the record or information, where action and return are required, the Contracting Officer will review each submittal, mark to indicate action taken, and return. Compliance with specified characteristics is the Contractor's responsibility.
