About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a comprehensive base tree removal and trimming project for a federal facility, scheduled for fiscal year 2025. The document outlines 38 distinct tree management projects across multiple areas, prioritized as high, medium, and low, involving the removal and/or trimming of approximately 150 trees of various sizes. The work includes tasks such as removing dead, fallen, or hazardous trees, trimming trees near buildings and roadways, and addressing specific environmental considerations like a Golden Eagle nest.
Key requirements include performing work between 0700-1700 Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, with specific guidelines for stump grinding, tree trimming (8 feet up from ground, 14 feet from roads), and site restoration. The contractor must coordinate with the Point of Contact (POC), particularly for sensitive areas like Child Development Centers and Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) zones. The project has a 120-day performance period after Notice to Proceed, and requires environmental safety briefings, careful equipment operation to prevent ground damage, and complete debris removal. The project's Point of Contact is Curtis Cookston from the 60 CES/CEOES unit.
