ADDENDUM #2
Repair/Add IMC Fire Suppression System
DKFX 11-1005 A/B
Joint Base Charleston, SC 15 February 2017
1. Add: Revised Drawing SB-101 dated 13 February 2017, which added items #21 and #22 to the “Tank Installation Structural Notes”, to provide cathodic protection construction details for the ring wall.
2. Delete: PVC Tees from the flow of fire suppression water identified in five locations throughout the fire suppression route to the hangars. (See Drawings CS-404, CS-102, and CS- 403)
3. Add: Ductile Iron (DIP) 45 degree lateral Tees, along with a 45 degree elbow to the five locations throughout the fire suppression route to the hangars in accordance with, DIP pressure class 300, meeting AWWA Std C110/C153. (Replaces PVC Tees, see drawings CS-404, CS- 102, and CS-403)
4. Add: CLIN for Abatement of 10LF of 20” diameter asbestos fire main and couplings exiting building 516.
5. Add: Specification section 28 31 76 JBC Interior Fire Alarm and Mass Notification System dated 02/17.
6. Delete: Specification section 28 31 76 JBC Interior Fire Alarm and Mass Notification System dated 08/11.
7. Add: Specification section 33 16 15 Water Storage Steel Tanks dated 02/17.
8. Delete: Specification section 33 16 15 Water Storage Steel Tanks dated 04/08.
9. Add: Specification section 26 42 15.00 10 Cathodic Protection System (Steel Water Tanks) dated 02/17.
10. Delete: Specification section 26 42 15.00 10 Cathodic Protection System (Steel Water
Tanks) dated 02/13.
11. Add: Windows shall be approximately 18’9” long by 33” high and must be identical in configuration and sized to fit the exisitng openings.
