RESPONSES TO VENDOR QUESTIONS #3
Q1: The “unit prices” in the contract are the constant in the contract regardless of what the actual quantities may be? In other words if the contract says quantity 500 and it turns out that there are 625 we would get paid for 625, correct?
Ans: Yes, the contractor would be paid for the 625. The contract can be modified to include the increased numbers if so needed.
Q2: Regarding the quantities, the numbers on the bid request look like “budget” numbers, does anyone know the actual numbers since I believe this data has been tracked electronically in the past?
Ans: In the past, there has not been the kind of electronic tracking that you describe, so am sorry but cannot provide that data. Going forward, with this contract, we have a new electronic program that will permit us to input and track this data for the future.
Q3: What are the insurance requirements for this contract?
Ans: The insurance requirements for this contract are driven by FAR Clause: 52.228-5. Traditionally, we receive a certificate (annually) of liability insurance that covers: Commercial General Liability; Automobile Liability; Umbrella Liability and Workers Compensation.
Q4: Would our man onsite have to hold the DOT certification or just someone from our company? We currently have 2 people certified.
Ans: Yes, your person on-site would be required to hold the certification.
