Statement of Work Building 3631/3635

JBSA-Fort Sam Houston PR F2MRAA6036AW02 Drapery Installation

1. GENERAL

1.1. The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, equipment, labor, transportation, delivery, supervision and management to (1) pickup/remove; (2) load/unload; and properly dispose of old draperies/hardware and install new draperies in the dorm buildings.

1.2. The technical specifications for the draperies and hardware for this contract are in Attachment B

2. PICK UP/REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

2.1. The Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of the draperies and hardware from two hundred and ninety six windows (296), in B3631/3635 (see attachment C-building floor plan).

2.2. The Contractor shall professionally install the new draperies and hardware according to Technical Representative (TR’s) agreement. Installation is not complete until TR or designated replacement reviews every window where installation took place.

2.3. In the event that a delay in pick up/removal is requested by the TR, or the Contractor is unable to confirm that the building is ready, the Contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer within 5 working days.

2.4 The contractor shall provide the TR with a 2 week notification as to the date and time the truck(s) will be arriving. The Contractor shall also provide email notification as to the date and time the trucks will be arriving.

2.5. Drivers of trucks shall not attempt to pick up/ drop off any items before the scheduled date.

3. LOADING/UNLOADING

3.1. All boxed draperies items must be unloaded from the truck by the Contractor. Contractors shall bring all equipment necessary to unload the boxed draperies and hardware at the dorm buildings in accordance to the TR’s instructions.

3.2 The Contractor and TR shall verify and inspect all items to ensure that no damage has occurred to the draperies/hardware during loading, transport, unloading, staging and setting up.

3.3. If repair or replacement of damaged items is needed, the contractor will repair or coordinate replacement of damaged, defective, or missing items. The Government may require repair or replacement of nonconforming supplies or re-performance of nonconforming services at no increase in the contract price. Any disputes in this area must be brought to the attentions of the TR and the Contracting Officer immediately.

4. DISPOSAL/ CLEAN-UP

4.1. The Contractor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of all trash and residual materials connected with this contract.

4.2. Personal trash (food wrappers, drinks, etc.) shall be removed from the site on a daily basis by the contractor.

5. PROTECTION OF PROPERTY

5.1. The Contractor shall perform an inspection of the buildings and grounds with the TR prior to starting work.

The Contractor shall protect all items from damage during both removal and installation. The Contractor shall take precaution against damage to the building, grounds and other furnishings. The Contractor shall perform a final inspection of the building and grounds after completing work. A corrective action plan shall be provided by the Contractor that details type, source and schedule of repairs.

5.2. The Contractor shall be responsible for security of the area in which work is being performed and prior to completion and transfer to the Government.

6. HOURS OF OPERATION:

6.1. Normal Hours. Performance of work shall be during normal duty hours between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday unless otherwise requested in writing and approved by the Contracting Officer.

6.1.2. Recognized Holidays. The contractor is not required to provide scheduled service on the following holidays:

New Year’s Day, January 1st

Martin Luther King’s Birthday, 3rd Monday in January

President's Day, 3rd Monday in February

Memorial Day, Last Monday in May

Independence Day, July 4th

Labor Day, 1st Monday in September

Columbus Day, 2nd Monday in October

Veterans Day, November 11th

Thanksgiving Day, 4th Thursday in November

Christmas Day, December 25th

NOTE: Any of the above holidays falling on a Saturday will be observed by the government on the preceding Friday. Holidays falling on a Sunday will be observed by the government on the following Monday. The contractor may choose to work on these days, but may do so only with prior coordination with the Dorm Office Manager(s) and approved by the Contracting Officer and at no additional cost to the government.
