SECTION 26-1
26.1. STATIC DISPLAY AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SERVICES
26.1.1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Static Display Aircraft (SDA) are maintained at various locations on Maxwell-Gunter AFB. These SDAs vary in size and type. Maxwell-Gunter’s SDAs are on loan from the United States Air Force Museum (USAFM) in the custody of the 42d ABW for outdoor display. The contractor is expected to provide static display aircraft maintenance support and to maintain them in accordance applicable directives and publications in Appendix 26A.
26.1.2. SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED:
26.1.2.1. STATIC DISPLAY AIRCRAFT MANAGEMENT:
26.1.2.1.1. Initiate and complete records, forms, and continuity folders.
26.1.2.1.2. Maintain Technical Orders and Publications necessary for SDA maintenance.
26.1.2.2. STATIC DISPLAY AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE:
26.1.2.2.1. Protect all SDA from agents of deterioration by painting, washing, and repairing.
26.1.2.2.2. Obtain or manufacture necessary parts and repair SDA to meet the original shape and cosmetic appearance
26.1.2.2.3. Inspect SDA regularly to ensure proper appearance and serviceability
26.1.2.2.4. Correct hazardous conditions to prevent injury to personnel.
26.1.2.2.5. Prepare SDA for special events occurring in their area

APPENDIX 26B
26B.1. WORKLOAD DATA
Maxwell’s 10 Static Display Aircraft (B-52, B-25, F-4, F-100, F-101, F-105, F-86, T-38, C-47 and BT-15) require a complete painting every 6 years and are washed every 6 months. Monthly inspections for each aircraft are required to determine equipment condition. Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) are accomplished every 6 months. Complete radiation surveys on each aircraft are required every 3 years.
