GLEN 17-1702 Replace Parking Lots Light Poles Work Phasing Plan Considerations
Each work phase shall be coordinated with the 50 CES Construction Manager
Parking Lot Assessment
B15 4 poles. Poles are located at each corner of the parking lot.
Recommendation: stagger closure of areas surrounding 2 poles at a time for 2 days.
B20 3 poles. Pole located in NE parking island.
Recommendation: close parking lot completely for 1 day & de-conflict closure with
Event Center activities.
B24 North 8 poles. 3 poles located along west parking island encroach on Talon Way.
Recommendation: stagger closure of parking lot sections for 2 days. Direct parking to south.
B24 South 12 poles. 6 poles located in middle parking lot & 6 poles located in south parking lot. 7 poles located along parking islands encroach on Talon Way.
Recommendation: stagger closure of parking lot(s) sections for 3 days. Direct parking to north & south.
B26 8 poles. 3 poles located along eastern parking island encroach on Talon Way. 2 Poles located at parking lot access points.
Recommendation: close entire parking lot for 2 days. Direct parking to B24 parking lot.
B30 North 25 poles. Significant number of ADA parking spaces located along east edge.
Recommendation: stagger closure of parking lot sections in a north-south pattern—2 to
3 poles at a time, always maintain a number of ADA parking spaces are available, & block off only the required areas surrounding the 9 interior poles—possibly 2 at a time.
B30 South 16 poles. Significant number of ADA parking spaces located along east edge. Noted on the 35% design sheet that an existing pole is not identified.
Recommendation: stagger closure of parking lot sections in a north-south pattern—2 to
3 poles at a time, block off only the required areas surrounding the 5 interior poles— possibly 2 at a time. Direct parking to north & west overflow gravel parking lot.
B60 11 poles. 4 poles located along the east side of Hahn Ave & encroach on road. 3 poles located along eastern edge of parking lot encroach on Hahn Ave. 2 poles located near parking lot access points. CDC parking lot has 72 total parking spaces, including 3 ADA parking spaces. Overflow parking to the NE, 39 parking spaces. Overflow parking to the south, 47 parking spaces.
Recommendation: Option 1: perform work on weekend or when facility unoccupied.
Option 2: configure boom truck based on site conditions & partially close one lane along Hahn Ave, direct traffic to overflow parking to the NE & south.
B101 North 9 poles. Pole located on north sidewalk encroaches on Hubble Ave.
Recommendation: stagger closure of parking lot sections for 2-3 days. Direct parking to north, south, & east.
B200 West 14 poles. Noted on the 35% design sheet that one of the poles identified does not exist.
Significant number of ADA parking spaces located along south edge.
Recommendation: stagger closure of parking lot sections in a north-south pattern—2 to
3 poles at a time, always maintain a portion of ADA parking spaces, & block off only the required areas surrounding the 4 interior poles—possibly 2 at a time.
B200 East 25 poles. Significant number of ADA parking spaces located along south edge.
Recommendation: stagger closure of parking lot sections in a north-south pattern—2 to
3 poles at a time, always maintain a portion of ADA parking spaces, & block off only the required areas surrounding the 8 interior poles—possibly 2 at a time.
B210 Adjacent 7 poles. 1 pole located along north access lane entrance & 2 poles located in southern parking islands.
Recommendation: Option 1: perform work on weekend or when facility not occupied.
Option 2: Stagger closure of parking lot sections for 2 days. Direct parking to the east, south, & west.
B210 West 9 poles. 4 Poles along east parking island encroach on Voyager St.
Recommendation: stagger closure of parking lot(s) sections for 2 days. Direct parking to south of B220, near B101, and to east.
B220 5 poles. 2 poles located along facility service access lane. 3 poles located in parking island & along access lane.
Recommendation: stagger closure of parking lot & service lane sections for 2 days.
Direct parking to B210 parking lots & north of B101.
B120 South 5 poles. Light pole located along access lane. 5 ADA parking spaces. Sidewalk to the south. Parking lot has 97 parking spaces.
Recommendation: close entire parking lot for 1 day. Direct customers to the B120
North parking lot.
B120 North 10 poles. Pole located in south central parking island. Parking lot has 96 parking spaces.
Recommendation: close entire parking lot for 1 day & stagger closure of parking lot(s) sections for 1-2 add’l days.
B780 4 poles. 2 poles encroach on West RA ECF lane.
Recommendation: Option 1: perform work on weekend. Option 2: close area for parking for 1 day but ensure safe access to & from B780 docks; configure boom truck based on site conditions & partially close one lane along West RA ECF route.
