About this file
This document outlines an administrative agreement between the United States and United Kingdom regarding sites on Ascension Island for use in support of the Bahamas Long Range Proving Ground missile test program. The agreement reserves control of minerals, antiquities, fishing and agricultural rights to the local government but allows the U.S. military to utilize sites on Ascension Island for testing purposes. It also stipulates environmental protections and requires U.S. cooperation to avoid interfering with local fishing. The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation posted by the U.S. Air Force Space Command seeking mission services on Ascension Island in support of range operations. The solicitation includes a final set of questions and answers for offerors with a response due date not provided in the documents reviewed.
