About this file

This document is a Work Write-Up for a furnace and air conditioning replacement project issued by the City of Jackson, Michigan, for a residential property located at 138 W Addison Street. The project involves replacing the existing furnace with a new 95% efficient, gas-fired forced air furnace that meets Michigan Mechanical Code standards, along with installing a new AC unit with an Energy Star rating. The work includes comprehensive HVAC system modifications such as installing new registers, providing adequate return air, potentially updating ductwork, and ensuring proper heating and cooling distribution throughout the home.

The project appears to be part of a municipal home improvement or rehabilitation program, with the work being prepared and overseen by a city representative (sharrison@cityofjackson.org). No specific pricing details are provided in the document, but the work write-up suggests the project will be competitively bid with contractors required to review and accept the scope of work. The document indicates that electrical work will be handled separately, and any necessary plumbing or wiring repairs to comply with local codes will be included in the project scope. The work write-up is dated 12/13/2024 and requires signatures from the homeowner, contractor, and a construction specialist to formalize the project agreement.
