About this file
This is a Work Write-Up document prepared by the City of Jackson for a furnace and air conditioning replacement project located at 138 W Addison Street in Jackson, Michigan. The document details a comprehensive HVAC system replacement, specifically requiring the installation of a new 95% efficient forced air, gas-fired furnace bearing an AGA label and a new AC unit with an energy star rating. The project requires a permit and must comply with the current Michigan Mechanical Code, with installation specifications including precise requirements for register placement, ductwork, insulation, and heating standards as defined by NWAHA (Northwest Home Heating Association).
The work write-up does not specify exact pricing but indicates that electrical work will be completed by others. The document includes signature lines for the owner, contractor, and a construction specialist to accept the scope of work, suggesting this is part of a potential municipal home improvement or rehabilitation program. The technical specifications are detailed, requiring the new HVAC system to sufficiently heat all habitable rooms, with specific guidelines for register placement, duct enclosure, and system efficiency. The document was prepared on 12/13/2024 and is marked as Exhibit 1, indicating it is part of a larger set of project documentation.
