About this file

This submittal document is a product and technical data sheet for WindowMaster Clearline motorized window actuators being supplied by Pacific Glazing Contractors for the Downtown Library and Affordable Housing Project located at 119 Lincoln Street, Santa Cruz, California. The submittal includes shop drawings and specifications for the WMX 804-1G chain actuators (UL certified), control systems, and associated installation hardware. The project calls for multiple actuator units controlled through WindowMaster WCC motor control panels with integrated MotorLink technology, allowing for synchronized operation of up to four actuators per window and three-speed functionality (slow automatic speed, faster manual speed, and full emergency speed). The documentation specifies approximately 94 total actuators organized into twelve control groups (WCC-1 through WCC-12), with individual groups controlling between 8 and 20 actuators depending on location. The actuators feature a 24VDC nominal voltage system with programmable pressure safety functions to prevent entrapment, electronic position feedback accurate to one millimeter, and integrated reverse functionality to extend weather seal lifespan. The submittal was initially reviewed on June 4, 2026, marked as "Reviewed/Exceptions Noted," and resubmitted on July 2, 2026, with final architect review dated July 14, 2026, following coordination discussions between the architect of record, subcontractor, and WindowMaster representatives.

The exterior scope of work performed by Pacific Glazing Contractors includes only the actuators, brackets, pigtails, and basic wiring routing through curtainwall verticals, with all control panels, wind and rain sensors, field programming, and low-voltage electrical infrastructure (conduits, junction boxes, switch boxes, and final wiring connections) designated as tenant improvement contractor scope. The actuator system operates on a 120VAC input converted to 24VDC output through motor control panels, with wire sizing and distance limitations to be verified by the electrical contractor. All WCC motor control panels are delivered with factory default programming and require site-specific configuration by the customer or controls contractor after installation, a responsibility explicitly excluded from the manufacturer's scope. The documentation includes detailed wiring diagrams, connection specifications, and technical data sheets for the WMX 804-1G UL-certified actuators, which feature a maximum locking force of 3,000 Newtons, adjustable opening speeds of 0.118 to 0.374 inches per second, sound pressure levels of 33-43 dBA depending on speed, and a five-year warranty from shipment date.

Description

 designed for surface mounting
 for comfort ventilation
to be used with all window types
to be used together with ±24V control units or control units

with MotorLink®

can be used together with espagnolette WMB
external safety edge can be connected directly to the

actuator (actuator version ’E’)

available with and without UL certification:

Europe: order without UL certification USA / Canada: order with UL certification (version UL)

synchronization of up to four window actuators – no need for an external synchronization module

genuine position feedback and three speeds when using control unit with MotorLink®

 soft close
 built-in electronic load switch-off/end stop
 electronic actuator with micro controller
the actuator has an integrated reverse function to ensure a

prolonged life span of the window gaskets

 easy mounting

Actuator variants The actuator is available in four different versions:

single actuator (-1), double actuator (-2), triple actuator (-3) and quad actuator (-4).

The synchro actuators (-2, -3 and -4) are equipped with a patented synchronization function, in which the actuators communicate directly with each other, which ensures the actuators operate at exactly the same speed and position.

On large windows up to four actuators can be mounted on the same window – with no need for an external synchronization module.

Pressure safety function The risk of entrapment is reduced as the actuators are programmed to reverse if they encounter obstacles when closing. The set points determining when the actuators are to reverse are individually adjustable.

The sound pressure level was measured externally by The Danish Technological Institute. The measurements have been carried out in a large regular room size 7 x 14 x 2.4 m (W x L x H) with the ceiling covered with a standard sound absorbent material. The A-weighted sound pressure levels have been measured at a distance of 1 meter away from the surface of the actuators and at the height of 1.6 meters from the floor.# The actuators were not installed on any window profile nor added any load. The full opening and full closing sound of the actuators have been measured and the result represents the average of the measurements.
