About this file
Exhibit G is a technical specification document for the irrigation system maintenance and service contract at Austin State Hospital (ASH) in Texas. The document establishes component standards and approved equipment specifications for all irrigation maintenance and repair work, which must conform to HCP 32 8400 standards, approved submittals, as-built conditions, and manufacturer requirements. The specified components include Hunter ACC2 controllers with two-wire command path systems, Hunter ICV series valves, Hunter ICD decoders, Netafim Techline dripline with pressure-compensating emitters, Rain Bird drip system operation indicators, Hunter PROS-06-PRS50 spray bodies with MSBN-50H stream bubbler nozzles for exterior tree zones only, and Wilkins 950 Double Check Assemblies at each courtyard point of connection. Any failed, damaged, leaking, improperly adjusted, or declining components must be repaired or replaced using approved brand-specific parts only.
The specification mandates annual testing and certification of backflow prevention assemblies by a licensed BPAT as required by 30 TAC 290.44(h). For soil and mulch restoration in disturbed irrigation work areas, contractors must use Whittlesey Landscape Mix soil and Texas Hardwood Mulch unless written substitution approval is obtained from the ASH Representative or Design Professional. All maintenance work must maintain correct operation, proper sealing, accessibility, communication integrity, grounding, surge protection, and proper height and plumb for spray bodies and bubblers, with work performed during regularly scheduled service inspections.
