About this file
This document is a Technical Specifications Exhibit from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for a Lenel Card Reader Access and Alarm Security System project at the Parkdale Maintenance Station. The project involves installing functional access control and security alarm systems at three buildings: the Maintenance Shop (requiring 4 doors with card reader access, 2 with security alarms), the Storage Building (2 doors with card reader access and security alarms), and the Fuel Building (1 door with card reader access and security alarm). The work includes running communication cables between buildings, installing card readers, electric strikes, door handles, surface closers, motion detectors, alarm panels, and associated equipment. The project is scheduled for substantial completion by June 15, 2025, with final completion by June 30, 2025, and work to be performed Monday through Thursday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The technical specifications require all Lenel-specific items to be purchased from a Lenel Value Added Reseller (VAR), with programming and testing performed by a certified Lenel installer. The project includes three bidding items, one for each building, with a comprehensive material list detailing specific equipment like Lenel Dual Reader Control Boards, HID Card Readers, LifeSafety Power Supplies, electric strikes, and Honeywell alarm components. The contractor is responsible for obtaining necessary permits, coordinating with a licensed electrician, and ensuring all work complies with Oregon OSHA rules. The security alarm systems will be monitored by an ODOT-appointed firm after project completion, and the contractor must coordinate with ODOT Access Control staff for system programming and testing.
