About this file
This document is an FAQ sheet for Solicitation No. 0007793, an RFP for Air Filter Changing Services issued by the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC). The solicitation addresses the procurement of air filter changing services across multiple state buildings in Texas. The RFP specifies detailed requirements for various filter types including pleated filters (MERV 10, wire-backed), box filters (rigid single header, MERV 14), mini-pleat filters (MERV 14), HEPA filters (H13 rating, 99.97% metal frame), bag air filters (MERV 14), roll filters (Cambridge Core polyester, MERV 10, 57" x 65' dimensions), and auto-roll filters with metal cores. The contract term for the previous award was five years, and contractors must submit bids using the provided Attachment X - Compensation and Fees form without alternate bid submissions permitted.
The incumbent vendor, Tex-Air Filters, was awarded $2,025,000.00 for the five-year contract term. All contractor personnel must undergo criminal background checks and obtain badges for building access, with parking arrangements coordinated by the TFC Contract Administrator. Ladder requirements vary by facility, with standard 6-8-foot ladders sufficient for most buildings and 12-foot ladders required for William P Clements, Barbora Jordan Building, and Brown Heatly Building. Contractors are responsible for all parking fees and costs. Bidders seeking historical bid tabulations or past pricing information may submit open records requests to openrecords@tfc.texas.gov. Alternative bids or materials that deviate from specifications will not be considered.
