About this file

This file is a Critical Reports Inventory attachment for the A&M System, a Texas-based higher education consortium, detailing statutory and operational reports required for evaluation during a Student Information System (SIS) software procurement process. The document serves as an instructional guide for software vendors responding to the Request for Proposal, requiring them to assess their proposed solution's capability to produce or support 65 critical reports currently used across A&M System institutions. Respondents must indicate for each report whether the solution provides the functionality available out-of-the-box, through configuration within the existing system, or not available at all. The reports encompass state-mandated submissions (such as Census Reports, Faculty Reports, and Graduation Reports), federally-mandated filings (including IPEDS surveys, FISAP applications, and financial aid processing reports), and institution-specific operational reports supporting functions in admissions, enrollment, financial aid, student billing, international student services, and accreditation compliance.

The inventory identifies data sources including the SIS, Learning Management System (LMS), Faculty Information System, Facilities Management System, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, and external systems such as Ed Connect and the National Student Clearinghouse. Reports are designated by university (with entries for "All Universities" and university-specific submissions from TAMUV) and include detailed descriptions of purpose, current information sources, and intended use. The document emphasizes that A&M System does not expect elaborate vendor responses to each report but encourages respondent teams to conduct independent due diligence to ensure accuracy and completeness of information for providing robust solution recommendations. No pricing, funding amounts, contract terms, or award dates are specified in this inventory document.
