Specific translation projects include a handbook containing 40,226 words, an Application for Change of Address (DL-64) with 564 words, and an Application for a Texas Driver License or ID card (DL-14A) with 1,398 words. All translations must be accurate, culturally appropriate, and maintain the original meaning, tone, and formatting. The contract term is five years with no incumbent vendor. Contractors must submit a minimum of two translation samples with their proposals and provide contact information for at least two professional references who can verify relevant experience.

Pricing shall be submitted as a per-word or per-page rate with total cost estimates and any additional fees for rush jobs, specialized terminology, or formatting services. Contractors must provide a completed-by date for each translation based on document word count, complexity, and rush requirements, with mandatory written notification to the Contract Monitor at least 48 hours in advance if delays occur. All contractors must be US-based, possess a Texas Identification Number, and deliver final translations in both Microsoft Word (.docx) and PDF formats. American Translators Association (ATA) certification is preferred but not required. Contractors are not required to obtain background and fingerprint checks. Payment terms follow Texas DPS standards with net-30 payment upon satisfactory completion and approval of deliverables. In-state Texas solicitations receive priority consideration over out-of-state applications.
